Another interesting discussion took place on Wednesday, February 28th at the book club meeting at the Stowe Free Library. The book under discussion was “The Power” by Naomi Alderman. This book won the Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction. The premise of the book is that women (teenage girls really) start to have power; electrical skills that can be used to fight back against abuse – physical, mental and emotional.
