Don't forget: tomorrow night, Thursday, is the next program in the "Bats, Biodiesel, and the Barnyard - A Series of Talks and Activities" series, in partnership with the Stowe Land Trust and the Vermont Ski Museum. We'll be discussing what Vermont's ski areas are doing to become more environmentally friendly.
Vermont ski areas stood out this year at the National Ski Areas Association Convention, winning of the award categories in which its resorts were nominated.

Congratulations to William McGovern, the library patron who came to our front desk on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, and checked out a book that was our one millionth checkout since we automated in 1996. William is the youngest child of Becky and Joe McGovern who reside in Nebraska Valley.The McGoverns have been library patrons since the days of the card catalog and William has been checking out books since his Story Hour days. He will be going into the 6th grade this fall Congratulations William and keep reading!
