Search our Online Databases
The World Book Online is an online version of the popular encyclopedia, and features a vast array of resources, including photographs, maps, and other multimedia. The World Book Online is perfect for parents, teachers, students, and anyone wanting to know a little more about a topic. You must call the Library at 802/253.6145 to obtain a password (one time only).
The Vermont Online Library is a collection of 18 databases covering newspapers, magazines, journals , eBooks, health information, and more. You must call the Library at 802/253.6145 to obtain a password (one time only).

Help: reserve an item
During library hours, please call to reserve items by phone (802) 253-6145. At other times, you may place an online hold by following the directions below using your Stowe Library card.
- Search our Catalog.
- Find the item you want and proceed to the title page.
- On the title page of the item desired, click on the Place Hold/Reserve button (do not select email request button at top)
- Login using the 14 digit barcode number from your library card. Use your last name as your password.
- Click on "hold any copy."
- SAVE
