Lamoille County Nature Center program is lots of fun!

Do you need an idea for a Christmas book for a child in your life? Here are few ideas from our Children's Librarian. This list includes new pictures books for the young, an anniversary edition of a Christmas classic (Big Susan), a new "ology" book, a bio of our new President, an interactive mystery, and two graphic novels. Abel's Magic Workshop

On Wednesday afternoon, November 12, at 3 o'clock, high schooler Abel German will be teaching a workshop on card tricks for kids ages 10 and up. Registration is required and space is limited. School kids, if you would like your artwork that has been displayed in the library this summer, please come and get it before school starts. We will be taking everything down next week and we do not have room to store anything. Come and get it or it is gone!

New fiction for grades 2-5

There are still 3 weeks of summer vacation left for curling up with a good book.. Come check out the new fiction for elementary school kids. Here is a small list of new titles.

New Children's nonfiction

There is something for everyone in this list of new nonfiction books for kids. Readers of all ages will enjoy reading about ancient insects that still survive today, a beautifully illustrated biography in verse of Muhammed Ali, some true facts and stories about the American Civil War that you won't find in text books, a definitive guide to China's Forbidden City, a tale of a century old auto race from New York to Paris, the true story of two outcasts who created Superman, and another Jim Arnosky beauty of animal tracks in nature.

 

Magic Show draws big crowd!
