Gardeners: Henry Homeyer on 5/19 at 7pm & the Annual Friends Plant Sale 5/22 at 9am
It is a busy week at the Library for garden lovers!
Don't miss the final session in our "In Our Own Backyard" series, brought to you by the Friends of Stowe Free Library. Vermont author and gardener Henry Homeyer, who wrote The Vermont gardener's companion : an insider's guide to gardening in Vermont, joins us Wednesday, May 19 at 7pm to help us answer all of our Vermont gardening questions. Copies of the book will be available for purchase; refreshments will be served following the meeting.
The Annual Friends Plant & Bake Sale will take place on Saturday, May 22 from 9am to 1pm. This is an event not to be missed, as many of the Friends are incredible gardeners, and bring gems from their own gardens to supply the sale. A Master Gardener will be available to answer questions, and the artist Ed Billings has generously donated a beautiful watercolor to raffle off. All of the proceeds from the sale directly support the Library's collection and programs.
