Green Initiatives at Vermont Ski Areas, 9/24 at 7pm at the Vermont Ski Museum

Don't forget: tomorrow night, Thursday, is the next program in the "Bats, Biodiesel, and the Barnyard - A Series of Talks and Activities" series, in partnership with the Stowe Land Trust and the Vermont Ski Museum. We'll be discussing what Vermont's ski areas are doing to become more environmentally friendly.

Vermont ski areas stood out this year at the National Ski Areas Association Convention, winning of the award categories in which its resorts were nominated. Okemo Mountain Resort won the Environmental Education award, Stratton Mountain Resort won the Energy Conservation/Clean Energy Award and Stowe Mountain Resort won the Waster Reduction and Recycling Award.

Join representatives from Okemo, Stratton, Sugarbush, and Stowe as they discuss their successes in making the ski industry more green. The moderated panel discussion will include a time for each area representative to describe their programs and their future plans and to answer questions.

This free program will be held at the Vermont Ski Museum on Main Street in Stowe, and will begin at 7pm.
