Looking for Something to Read?
I don't know about you, but I am always on the lookout for a good book to read, and have a few places I like to go to find titles. One of them is LibraryThing, the online book cataloging site where I keep track of what I have been reading. I can get suggestions based on what I've liked, but I can also see what's been popular on the site. Here's what has been most popular in September:
- Any Given Doomsday by Lori Handeland
- Anathem by Neal Stephenson
- Brisingr by Christopher Paolini
- The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer
- The Story of Edgar Sawtelle: A Novel by David Wroblewski
- Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
- The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry
- The Time Paradox by Eoin Colfer
- The Shack by William P. Young
- Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix
It must be said, however, that nothing beats the recommendations of the staff and volunteers
here at the Library (you can see some of our recommendations on the
shelf above the paperbacks and on the display shelves at the end of the
fiction stacks).
