Gazebo Concert: The Sky Blue Boys
Join Stowe Performing Arts and the Friends of Stowe Free Library for the final free Gazebo Concert for 2008, featuring The Sky Blue Boys, on Tuesday night, August 12, from 6:30 to 7:30pm.
The Sky Blue Boys will be playing old-time bluegrass in the traditions of the "brothers duets" of the 1930s and 40s, such as The Blue Sky Boys, The
Monroe Brothers and the Louvin Brothers. You may remember Dan and Willy Lindner from their days with the celebrated
Vermont bluegrass band Banjo Dan and the Mid-nite Plowboys, formed in 1972.
Bring a blanket, some chairs, and a picnic dinner and enjoy the sounds of The Sky Blue Boys on the front lawn of the Helen Day Memorial Building. Rain location: Stowe Community Church.
