Julie recommends the following books:
The following are new books that kids and teens will enjoy reading this spring.
"The London Eye Mystery" is a suspenseful mystery about a boy who goes missing after a ride on the London Eye ferris wheel. "Penderwicks on Gardam Street" is the much anticipated sequel to the Newbery Award winner The Penderwicks. "Home of the Brave" is about a young African boy sent to live with relatives in Minnesota, a strange cold place unlike anywhere he has ever been. "The Willoughbys" is a fun little book reminiscent of the Lemony Snicket books where abandoned children must fend for themselves amidst many obstacles. "Miss Spitfire" is the story of Annie Sullivan, the young woman who helped teach Helen Keller to communicate. "Missing Girl" and "Falling" are for older readers. "Missing Girl" is about the kidnapping of a young girl who uses her wits to escape. "Falling" is about drug use and is written by a Vermont author living in the Rutland area. Have fun reading!
